Rota House by Manuel Ocana Arquitectos
The Rota House is located in Madrid Spain. The home was fully renovated in 2006. The main purpose of the renovation was to satisfy the owners desire to have a pool, a loft with an elevator, and an abundance of natural light.
The attic is where you will find all the windows that allow the sun to shine in over the 3 floors of the home. Since the home has an open layout between the 3 floors, there are 4 machines to control and condition the temperature and the humidity. And finally, the best part of the home! The lower level is waterproof. The floors, walls, and roof are coated with a white chloride rubber and the stairs are treated with marine varnish. This allows the owner to create unusual conditions in the lower level where you are able to enjoy the heat of the pool while machines make it rain or snow inside!
