55 Blair Rd by ONG & ONG
Located in Singapore, the 55 Blair Road residence was designed to create a light open plan living space, whilst promoting inside/outside space.
The home was originally renovated 10 years ago. The new owner thought the home was too dark and felt the need to bring in more natural light. [via]

yes, i agree, 2 flaming homosexuals live there, but its still kinda neat
Obviously all these pictures were created with Adobe Master Suite CS4. There is no way anyone owns a house like this.
If I wanted cold, I’d live in Antarctica.
I love this home design, personally. The Japanese influence on this house is just right. My fiance and I are both obsessed with Japanese design, and she loves it as well. Just…wow. I would like to see some changes to the bathroom, personally, and maybe some more color, but the minimalist design with extravagant features are awe-inspiring.
Hey roberto, this is a real house, as real as it gets. not a work from photoshop please.
The house looks amazing. My old house was built by Ong&Ong as well.
While I love the way it was designed , I wish it had a bit more color to it. With the exception of the blue lighting it seems overly sterile. Also the windows on the front of the building have a bit of a weird bone shaped dog treat thing going on with them. Perhaps it’s just me…
i love this house, though it looks a bit more like a sculpture than a habitat..
also, why is there have a picture of mao zedong in the bedroom?
This is an amazing home. I’m showing my wife – I’d love to have a home designed by this group. On another note, can the moderator on this page delete the homophobic comments from fhuger and harry? That kind of speech has no place in the world and it’s sad that numbskulls like that still exist in the 21st century.
I agree with Seth! I’m happy he’s outraged, cause I sure am, and I’m not gay.
Totally agree with Seth and Jill..
Oh and my wife and I love the house too.
This house is very well designed. As a design student, I hope to be able to incorporate some of the clean lines found in Japanese design into my future designs while retaining a connection with nature.
The spaces in this home are obviously “designed,” which contributes to the sterility of the space. I feel like the spaces that are designed especially in this style are typically seen as less lived in, which can be very effective as in this case. It is well designed in my opinion because, though almost everything is white or brown, the space is not dull. There are interesting shapes that provide shadow and light contrasts. Color is not the only way to create good design.
ahah, pretty white, what ever hapened to color, i really miss that, and i agree on the homo-disigned spaces…
i think that the area designed for that tree and the pool or program-less-water-area, is one of the most powerfull conexions I’ve seen recently.
Both areas on the sides of that pool, are shouting at each other in terms you cannot see every day.
I see European style influence, especially the kitchen and bath, and Chinese influence, the chairs, the chest, the coffee table in the office, and mao pic. Where is the Japanese influence you guys speak of?
This. Is. Amazing.
I’m staring at these pictures in awe of the minimalist, stylish design in both architecture and decoration. Just… well, as someone said: “Nothing short of perfect”. The facade deceives more than a lot of thinking this would be just an ordinary home. :O
