Exactitudes: You Are What You Wear

Photographer Ari Versluis and profiler Ellie Uyttenbroek hail from Rotterdam and have been working together since 1994. They have a special and shared interest in the dress codes of various social groups and have documented the numerous types of people for the past 14 years.

Rotterdam, which already has a multicultural street scene, has remained their primary inspiration, but they have taken to other cities abroad to cull more subjects for the Exactitude project. Insightful, beautiful, interesting, moving and powerful. We are what we are, yet so much more.
